Administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the Community Energy Engagement Program (CEEP) aims to connect New Yorkers to resources that can help lower their utility bills, reduce their energy waste, and make their homes more comfortable. CEEP offers residents guidance through Community Energy Advisors who are available to assist homeowners and renters through federal, state, local and private sustainability programs, helping them leverage all resources they may be eligible for to implement and finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
Community Energy Advisors are available to:
- Help homeowners make informed energy decisions that can lower energy bills and improve a home’s comfort
- Inform and guide homeowners of financing options for energy efficiency home upgrades and renewable energy products
- Connect homeowners with the licensed contractors that can implement clean energy home upgrades
