[The Counselor’s Corner] Webinar: Disaster Recovery Road

Natural disasters can strike anytime and anywhere in America and its territories – hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, wildfires, earthquakes, etc. When Mother Nature takes over many people in the path of these events, as well as first responders, are overwhelmed physically, mentally, and financially. Disaster victims need accurate information and lots of resources to cope with and fully recover from these emergencies. Housing counseling agencies are some of the first responders who come to the rescue in disaster areas. So, how can you assist not only your clients but your communities during a time of need? This webinar will provide you with the necessary steps to follow as people go down the recovery road after a disaster. Learn how to respond, how to work with clients/residents/consumers, and how to follow up on things such as avoidance, safety, insurance claims, shelter, and working with resource agencies such as FEMA, the SBA, the GSEs, HUD, and others during and after disasters. Since this is an information session and not a training session, there will be no test, certificate, or CEUs available after the webinar. This session will not be recorded but we will make the presentation available during the session and will send it to you, together with abundant resources, after the webinar ends. Brought to you by The Counselor's Corner and Windom Wisdom LLC. Register: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/677499658853058562
